Pelikoulutus - Game Education in english - started in August 2004 at Adulta Creative Industries. The 3rd course started in August 2008. Adulta CI is the leading vocational trainer in Finland. It has facilities in Helsinki (Pasila) and Tuusula.
Students of Game Education will learn the basics of game design and production for several platforms, concentrating mainly in PC and mobile gaming. The curriculum consists of 2D and 3D graphics, animation, game design, production and coding. Audio-video -technologies and internet-based tech and multimedia also have a significant role in the studies.
Before graduating the students will practice their skills at work during the winter of the second year. As Game Education is a preparatory training for competence-based qualification, the students will have their skills demonstration at the end of the course and they will be preparing a final project.
